Barbara, FL. - Ernie has surgery on his pacemaker this morning, they are adding another wire. Please pray for him .

Update - I am heading to the hospital this afternoon with my sister. They are supose to do surgery at 1PM today.

 

Mary, FL. - Please Pray!! Had a stroke.. Is recovering very well

 

Joani, MI. - Bob is going to surgery Monday, please put him on prayer list for a sucessful surgery. Thank you!.

 

Barbara, FL. - Ernie doing much better. If all goes well they will shock his heart on friday the 13,to help stop the irregular beats, great day. Im not putting trust in a day but only in the power and anointing of the Lord. So I believe all will go well.Thanks for agreeing and praying with me

 

Dick & Lyn, FL. - Please pray for Scott – he has diagnosed with cancer and given 3 months to live (with chemo – 6 months)

His mother Laurie is very weak and on kidney dialysis. Laurie has a port infection that is keeping her from getting the new battery for her heart monitor. Her heart totally depends on the monitor so if that battery quits she will die. Please believe for the miracles needed.

Mark, FL. - Saturday night Carmen had a seizure followed by memory loss and confusion. Thinking that it was a reaction to her migraine medicine, I took her to the emergency room at St. Joe’s North. After x-rays and a cat scan, they determined that she had a tumor on the outer lining of her brain called a meningioma. This type of tumor is almost always benign (99%) but it causes problems by pressing on the brain. Symptoms include blurring vision, worsening headaches, tremors, and seizures, all of which Carmen has been experiencing for the last 6 months to one year. The seizure on Saturday was her first and only one, and is why we were able to find the tumor.

Because St. Joe’s North has no neurology, they transported her to St. Joe’s Main Hospital on MLK in Tampa. Today they finally did the MRI to confirm that it is meningioma, and the surgeon just came in to explain her options. They will be doing her surgery tomorrow, Tuesday at 12:30 pm, to remove as much of the tumor as possible. Since it is attached to a major vein, they can’t remove the entire tumor. She will have to do follow up MRIs a couple times a year

Update - Carmen did great and is finally out of surgery. The surgeon said that they were able to remove more of the tumor than they thought they would be able to, but they had to leave a little that was attached a vein, as expected. Biopsy also showed it was a benign Meningioma, as expected. After an hour in recovery, she will be moved to ICU for a couple of days, then she will be in a room on the neurology floor for a couple days. Since they couldn't safely remove all of the tumor, they will monitor the future growth with regular MRIs. At some point they will use radiation to attempt to shrink the remaining growth.

I can't say enough how important your prayers were for all of us. We appreciate all of your messages of encouragement. Today was an excruciating day of waiting, but the result has been worth it. Thanks again and I hope to keep you posted in the near future.

Update - Carmen began Chemo 12/23

Update - 1/4/12 - Radiation is going good.... I am tolerating the mask for the most part (better than I thought).

 

Shirley, MI. - Brother Benny came through the surgery just fine, the doctor was pleased with the results, said that the shunt dropped right into place, and they always hold the tube down to make sure there is flow, and he said that it was flowing nicely. Irene asked how soon we could see any results, and he said soon, if not immediately. Kristi and I went back to recovery with Irene to see him and he was awake and pretty alert and volunteering conversation, which is a good sign.
He may be able to come home on Saturday, Sunday for sure. I was not aware that the radiation administered to the tumor could cause this type of spinal fluid build up, happens to 1%, an adverse reaction. We are very hopeful that he will have a complete healing and speedy recovery.

Alice, MI. - Pray!! Took her to emergency with pain in her stomach....Went in for an MRI......She is in her 90's

Update - The doctors have discovered a problem with her gall bladder!

Update - Alice was having a hard time with her bowels, so now their concern was that she had a blockage. They were going to test for that.

Update - She is doing much better.

Update - Alice is having a procedure, to draw the fluid off her lung. They told them if they did not do it, they would lose her.

 

Jim, GA. - Goes in for surgery tomorrow AM Friday 7/22/11 Please Pray!!

Pastor Repass, AL. - His daughter fell into a pool and was pronounced dead at the hospital. Pray for Resurrection!!!

 

Sue, Fla. - Pastor John just called and , his wife, Sue went in the hospital this morning to the E.R. thinking she was having a heart attack. They are doing tests and a catheterization tomorrow. He is asking everyone for prayer.

Update - 7/24/11 - she is still in the hospital but hoping to go home today. They have ruled out her heart. Did lots of test and said her heart was in great shape. They think it is her gallbladder and are doing test .She is hoping to go home today after the doc comes in.
She said to tell everyone thanks for your prayers and to keep praying

 

HOPE, Fl - Our house Sale fell through!! We are all packed, so we are ready for whatever God has planned. Please Pray that the right person buys our home and we can continue on our mission to Brooklyn, MI.

 

Sue - Fla. - Pray for me and my three children, Hector, Miguel, and Edgar. They all have Diabetes

 

Susan, MI. - She has lumps in her stomach and they say they can't do anything. Pray!

She is standing strong in the Lord. Her husband is struggling. Let's believe for a great miracle from a great God. We are all laboring for the glory of the Lord to transform our region!
